Stuck for a colour that will enhance any décor? I say reach for yellow and what better bloom to select than sunshine yellow sunflowers. As an aside, the reason I reach for yellow… I just figure that if mature nature thought it important to give most if not all flower a yellow stamin centre, then it must be because this colour enhances most coloured flowers.

What to put with the sunflowers? There is nothing nicer than berries! Putting these two shapes together helps to break up the boldness of the flower size & the berries diffuse and shatter out the yellow.

Any vase will do, but if you have time, check out decoupage. It’s any easy way to theme up, to team with your flowers. My vase is constructed of glass, but after a lick of chalk paint & a pleasant decoupage, the vase is dressed and ready to go.

Things to gather:
- Vase of your choice
- 5 or 6 standard sunflowers, several spray sunflowers
- Several stems of yellow-ish or orange berries
