Take a glass vase - any glass vase - and embellish with ceramic roses. Once finished give the project a couple of coats of either sterling silver or gold and the stage is set to display flowers/foliage. This is such a fun project that takes a plain vase to a place of rich opulence.

Things to gather:
- Glass vase
- Ceramic or little plastic flowers – these can be found at Amazon, eBay, Alibaba.
- You can use E6000 glue but this is highly toxic so my choice is Selleys Liquid Nails. Yes, you will see the clay-coloured glue of the Liquid Nails, but the whole project is going to be spray painted once finished so this is not a problem.
- I used a small satay stick to apply Liquid Nails to back of roses.
- If necessary, Turps for cleaning up any mess.
- RUST-OLEUM metallic spray paint in either bright silver or gold.

Part two – Displaying permanent orchids into your completed vase.
My completed project is for my powder room. Check out the range of orchids and other flowers at www.prestigebotanicals or my website www.astarsplace.com and don’t forget to use the code 'astar15' at checkout for a 15% discount.
