I never knew Mikayla personally, but I was a big fan of her work and her heart. Like so many of you, I felt connected to her through the genuine love and compassion she showed in every rescue, every video, every gentle moment with the animals she cared for.

This video was by far the most challenging and emotional project I’ve ever done. Hours upon hours went into collecting your suggestions, tracking down every moment, editing, and making sure it truly honored who she was. There were moments when the memories were too much and I had to step away, but I kept going, because she deserves nothing less.

This tribute is my way of giving Mikayla the send-off she’s earned: a beautiful collection of her most touching, joyful, and unforgettable moments with the foxes, minks, cats, and all the creatures she loved so deeply.

This will be my last tribute to her. I know it’s time for me to start letting go, not of Mikayla herself, but of the weight of grief I’ve carried as a fan who was inspired by her. I hope this video helps others do the same, letting time begin to heal while keeping her spirit alive in our hearts.
