Henro Pilgrimage (Shikoku Henro) is a sacred Buddhist journey that circles the island of Shikoku, Japan, covering 88 temples associated with the revered monk Kūkai (Kōbō Daishi). It covers a total of about 1200 km, however, we've opted to break the pilgrimage up into smaller chunks due to vacation time constraints.

On our first day of returning to the henro path, we visit Temples 28, 29, and 30, around Kochi city. We also based ourselves out of a hotel to return to each night, which is a little different from the traditional trek where you would spend each night along the route at a different location. On Day 3 we packed up our gear to move to Tosa.
