Join Andrew Gordon & Aaron Alexander as they dive into the hyper-stylized world of Sin City, the 2005 neo-noir anthology adapted and co-directed by Robert Rodriguez (Desperado, Spy Kids, Machete) & Frank Miller (300, The Spirit), with a guest directorial turn by Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill). Set in the corrupt Basin City, three intertwined tales of vengeance and redemption unfold under stark black-and-white cinematography splashed with vivid color.
Hartigan is played by Bruce Willis (iconic as John McClane in Die Hard & starred in Pulp Fiction), a world-weary detective on a mission to save young Nancy Callahan (Jessica Alba, Dark Angel, Honey) from a serial predator. Marv, portrayed by Mickey Rourke (Oscar-nominated for The Wrestler and memorable in Diner), embarks on a brutal quest to avenge the murder of his one true love, Goldie (Jamie King, Black Summer, My Bloody Valentine 3-D). In The Big Fat Kill, Clive Owen (Children of Menace, Closer) takes on the role of Dwight McCarthy, navigating a deadly nightclub turf war alongside the fierce & loyal Gail (Rosario Dawson, Rent, Ahsoka).
Benicio Del Toro (Academy Award winner for Traffic & villain in Guardians of the Galaxy) brings chilling intensity as Jackie Boy; Nick Stahl (from Terminator 3 & Bully) and Brittany Murphy (breakout in Clueless & 8 Mile) add depth in supporting turns. Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings, Green Street Hooligans) makes a haunting cameo, & Michael Clarke Duncan (Oscar-nominated for The Green Mile) looms large as the silent enforcer Manute. Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls, The Handmaid’s Tale), Powers Boothe (Deadwood, Tombstone), Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner), & Tommy Flanagan (Gladiator, Braveheart) round out this insane ensemble.
