Endless corridors, kitchens shared by numerous families, mice and cockroaches living on luxurious decor… It’s hard to believe it, but this is the cultural capital of Russia, Saint Petersburg. Communal apartments were home to millions of people in the Soviet Union and even today there are lots of people living in these flats.
